I visit the salon in High Wycombe and have been for years. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly and welcoming, with all of the staff greeting and interacting with customers, regardless of whether they are serving you.
Lauren has an amazing team, that are extremely helpful and work well together. I usually have Serena, who is wonderful and great at offering her opinion, and always does a fabulous job. I have no hesitation in recommending the salon, and have done to many of my friends!
The service this company provides can be beaten by no other. I have always walked away happy with my haircut and styling.
If your looking for a great stylist then Spirit is the salon for you.
“The team at Spirit I find have a really professional but genuinely friendly approach. I’m always delighted with my hair cut and colour – there’s consistency combined with good advice, and a genuine desire to please. Everyone in the team comes across as enjoying what they do, and want to do their best. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to my family and friends.”
I had always been blonde as a child, and as I got older I coloured my own hair. I found I just paid money to get a result from hairdressers that was no better than
I could do myself. Also at the age of 45 I had NEVER walked out of a salon happy with a cut or a finish. I had used all the other local salons, and had just resigned myself to being unhappy with the way I looked.
Well how times of changed. For the last six years since coming to Spirit. I look forward to getting my hair done. I love that when I come to the salon the smallest of details are noted. The girls don’t ask me how I like my coffee, they know! The salon it’s self is relaxing, modern and has a professional feel. The staff are always beautifully turned out. The pride they show in themselves and the company give Spirit that little bit of stardust. They prove that it really is the little things that make all the difference.
I have watched as the trainee’s blossom into talented colourists/stylists, who have second to none training. I have watched others go on to be promoted. They never stop learning, which gives me such a lot of confidence. I know I am getting the best and latest products and techniques.
The real and most amazing thing about Spirit for me though is: Unlike other women my age who are all seeming to go for the yellow bottle blonde to cover their grey and white hair. I am now a deep chestnut colour. Which has brought out the colour of my eyes. My cut has made my face look softer and it is really flattering. I get told every time I have my hair done which products are being used. They are placed by the station whilst my hair is being washed so when I come back. I can see the products, and ask any questions before I can go onto buy them if I wish. The other day I was having my eyebrows done, and a 25-year-old girl was raving about my colour and wanted to know where I got it done. Not something I ever expected at 51!
I love being a walking recommendation to your salon. I think a little bit of the spirit stardust has rubbed off on me! You’ve got me for good now!
I moved to Wallingford in May 2012 and was faced with the dilemma of travelling to the hairdresser I had had for 24 years which was a 60 mile round trip or finding a hairdresser nearer home.
I put off the decision for the first few months until a friend posted a link on Facebook about her hairdresser in High Wycombe ( where I used to live) winning an award for customer service. Out of curiosity I went onto the website of Spirit Hair Company and was amazed to see they had a branch in Wallingford!
I decided to pop in to check it out one day when I had my 20yr old goddaughter with me . I was greeted with a smile from Mikaela and explained I was very nervous about changing hairdressers after so long and she said come and sit down for a chat. She then spent at least half an hour assessing my needs and getting to know what I needed and any concerns I had about my hair and recommended the keratin treatment, and a stylist Bobbie to cut my hair and Kelly to colour it. She spent this time with me not knowing whether I would actually book an appointment and bearing in mind she had not expected me having walked in off the street which really impressed me. She also spent time with my goddaughter who is phobic about having her hair cut and gave her invaluable advise about managing her very fine long hair.
We were both so impressed and felt she had taken a genuine interest in us which was not driven by her need for a customer but by our needs.
I have been going there for 6 months and I am more than delighted with the results. I have never had so many compliments about the cut and colour and my hair is more manageable than it has ever been. I have had total strangers compliment my hair on many occasions at least 2 a week, which has never happened to me before. My goddaughter actually made an appointment and had her hair cut for the first time in a few years and drove all the way from Watford, she will come back as she got such individual attention.
The salon is small and has a friendly intimate atmosphere and all the staff greet you by name. Drinks are supplied with a varied menu. You feel spoilt and pampered. I am impressed that you get a discount when you book the next appointment, loyalty cards, a text reminder of appointments which for me is very useful as I had a tendancy to get the time wrong at my last salon! The fact that they do a colour patch test every time and ring to make sure I have one in time demonstrates high professionalism ( in 24yrs I never had one before).
The stylists obviously enjoy working with Mikaela who respects her staff and creates a good working environment.
If I could sum up Spirit Hair company it would be that they create a warm friendly atmosphere, get to know their clients as people and go out of their way to provide a good service as well as giving invaluable advice on products and management of my hair.
