DEPOSIT POLICY

When pre-booking your appointment, this time has been reserved especially for you. If you do not attend your appointment or cancel with short notice (under 48 hours) we are very often unable to fill your appointment slot with another client.

We will require a 50% Pre-Booking Deposit for all appointments booked online, all services that time is booked 4 hours and over and for New Clients to the salon. We will also require a full 100% deposit for clients who have No Showed for their previous appointments or are consistent offenders to late cancellations.  If you have paid a Pre-Booking Deposit and do not show up for your appointment or give short notice then your pre-booking deposit will be non-refundable. 
 
Please note that should you have a late cancellation or no show against your name then you will be required to prepay in full for your future appointments  

CANCELLATION & NO SHOW POLICY

When pre booking your appointment, this time has been reserved especially for you. If you do not attend your appointment or cancel with short notice (under 48 hours) we are very often unable to fill your appointment slot with another booking therefore you will be charged 50% of your service cost and future appointments will need to be pre-paid. We completely understand that the unexpected happens and if you feel strongly that you shouldn’t be charged then please contact Lauren or Sam where they will be happy to listen. 

PATCH/ COLOUR TESTING POLICY – IMPORTANT INFORMATION 

For our Patch/Colour testing we use the Colourstart Passport.

The Colour Start Test costs £15.00 and can be purchased at the salon. You should only need to do this test once and this will be a one off cost.  

We are aware that to some of our clients, this might be daunting, but we are here to walk you through this and we can book you a FREE 15 minute appointment, to help you get up and running. 

 Exceptions:  If you are a new client to the salon or haven’t been in for the past year, or there is a medical reason and Colour Start will not allow you to use the patch, then you will be able to come into the salon and have an in salon allergy test, free of charge.

If you do not want to do the Colour Start Patch test then you will need to book an In Salon Allergy Test, the cost per visit is £5.00.  

SKIN TESTING FOR SCALP APPLICATION FOR BLEACH - THERE IS NO SKIN TEST THAT WE CAN DO FOR SENSITIVITY TO BLEACH.

UNDER 18s POLICY – IMPORTANT INFORMATION 

 We will not carry out any chemical service (Colour, Keratin or Perming) on anyone under the age of 16.

We will not carry out any scalp chemical service (root colour or bleach) on anyone under the age of 18.

The reason for this policy is because we have a duty of care for the younger generation. Exposing anyone under the age of 18 to these services can increase their chances of developing allergic sensitivities to these treatments. Therefore, to keep under 18s safe we have this policy in place. We'll be happy to carry out all these services for anyone suitable once they are over the age of 18!

CHILDREN UNDER 16 POLICY

Children salon services are only available Tuesday to Friday 9am to 6pm and are not available in the evenings. Adult prices with a 20% discount will be charged on Saturdays. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

GREEN CONTRIBUTION CHARGE PER VISIT

We are on our journey to become a sustainable salon taking responsibility to be part of the solution and not part of the problem with looking after our planet. We have joined up with The Green Salon Collective Group who collect our waste and recycle it on our behalf. We are asking our clients to help us with this system by contributing £1.50. This will automatically be added to your bill. You may request us to remove this however we would be delighted to share with you all the fantastic projects that our waste goes towards before you do and hope that you’ll change your mind.

REDO POLICY- GETTING IT RIGHT!

 Spirit Hair Company team work hard to achieve the look and style you desire. Very rarely, we don’t hit that mark but please don’t panic or worry. If you contact us within 7 days of your appointment date, we will be very happy to book you in with your original stylist or if you’d prefer another stylist, and work with what it is you are unhappy with.
